WORKSHOP ON SATTRIYA NRITYA AND BORGEET

Objectives : To preserve and spread the Sattriya culture among the students, teachers and parents of our Vidyalayas.

Date  : 25 to 30 December,2OO7

Venue : Natun Kamalabari Sattra, Majuli

Inauguration : Sri Sri Nanayan Chandra Goswami, Sattradhikar Natun Kamalabari Sattra, as the Chief Guest and sri Nitin Khade, SDO(civil), Majuli, as the Guest of Honour.

Total Participants : 49 students, 16 faculty and parents. The participants were taught the art of Sattriya Nritya and Borgeets, penned by Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev and Mahapurush Madhavdev, by eight resource persons. Sri Narayan Chandra Goswami, Sattradhikar Natun Kamalabari Sattra and Sri Sri Janardan Deva Goswami, Sattradhikar Uttar Kamalbari Sattra were present in the concluding function.

GEETA JNANA YAJNA

Objectives :  * To create devotional and patriotic urge among the students.

                     * To nourish the students with the vision of Rhisis.

                     * For perfect pronunciation among them  The competition was held in two phases

Phase-I     :  Competition in the respective vidyalayas

Phase-II    :  Inter VKV, venue - VKV Tinsukia, attendence - forty.


The Yajna was on the 7th Chapter, Jnan Vijnana Yoga of Bhagavad Geeta.

WORKSHOP ON HINDUSTHANI SHASTRIYA SANGEET AND PADAVALI ABHYAS SHIBIR

Vivekananda Krida Mahotsav

 



Objectives  :

* To ensure that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body

* Develop sportsrman spirit among the students

* Create among them a sense of awareness, discipline, obedience etc.

Date           : 16 to 19 December, 2007

Chief Guest : Sri Pradip Kumar Singha, Project Head, NEEPCO, Bokuloni

Guest of Honour : Mananeeya Sri Pravin Dabholkar, Joint General Secretary VK,Kanyakumari

Events      : Indoor: Table Tennis, Chess and Outdoor : Kho kho, Kabaddi, Track and Field

Total Participants : 302 students comprising 12 vidyalayas of Assam and Nagaland. There were 174 boys and 128 girls participants respectively.

Personality Development Camp for the students of class VI

A non-residential personality development camp for the students of Class-VI was held in all the Vidyalayas.

Objectives:

* To spread Swami Vivekananda's vision among the students 

* Five-fold development of the students

* Make them better citizens

* To accquaint the upcoming generation to the grand cultural heritage of India 

Total Participants : 622 students from 12 vidyalayas.

TEACHER'S ORIENTATION CAMP FOR SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS

A three day in service Orientation Camp for the Science and Mathematics subject teacers was held at VKV, Tinsukia from 26 to 28 Oct, 2007.

Objectives : To Update the faculty in accordance to the latest CBSE curriculum

Resource Persons : Sri Ravi Siravana, CMD and Su.Savitri Rao, Director of Prism  Book Pvt Ltd.

Total Participants : 65 faculty from 30 Vidyalayas (12 Vidyalayas of VKSPV and    18 Vidyalayas of APT).

The Varsharambha & Vidyarambha Ceremonies for the student of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Assam University Campus, Silchar, the 15th School under VKSPV and its 14th in Assam Was solemnised on 16 August 2007.Dr. Tapodhir Bhattaoharjee, Vice-Chancellor & Dr. Souri Sengupta, Registrar, Assam University, Silchar attended the Ceremonies.

Inauguration of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Shuklai

 Vivekenanda Kendre Vidyalaya, Shuklal, District - Baksa, BTAD, Assam the 14th school under VKSPV and its 13th in Assam was Inaugurated on l0 August 2007.ln the Inaugural ceremony Sri Chandan Brahma, Minister, P&RD, Transport, Govt. of Assam was the chief Guest. Sri Biswajit Daimary, Chairman ARTFED was the Guest of Honour. ln the lnaugural Function 450 people,most of them local Villagers & Parents of students attended the functlon.

Acharya Prashikshan Shibir

Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag organised a three days Acharya Prashikshan Shibir for the teachers of Vlvekananda Kendra Vidyalayas from 6 to 8 August 2007 in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya(NEC) Baragolai, Margherita. 79 teachers participated ln the shibir out of which 56 were brothers and 23 sisters. The participants in the shibir were teachers who have attended Acharya Prashlkshan Shibir at Kanyakumari from 1999 to 2003. Mananeeya sri D. BhanudasJi, General Secretary,VK Kanyakumari graced the lnaugural ceremony of the shibir. He guided the teachers on the topic 'Dayitvavan Karyakarta' on 7 and 8 August 2007. in the Valedictory Programme Revered Swami Ishatmanandaji Maharaj, Secretary,Remkrishna Mission, Deomall was the Chief Guest and Dr. Debashish Karmakar AGM, NEC, Coal lndia Ltd.Margherita was Guest of Honour.

Utkarsha Shibir Tingrai

 

A three-day camp for Ayadidis and Bhaiyas (Utkarsha Shibir) of our Vidyalayas was organized at VKV, Tingrai from 1 to 3 August.Total participants : 35 including of 22 didis and 13 bhaiyas In the Shibir besides Prayers, Bhajan, Yogas & Bouddhik Satras, 3 karyashalas were also conducted.A trip to Ghantakarna Mandir was organized on the Concluding day for the participants.



Utkarsha Shibir

Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag organised a three day Utkarsha Shibir. a camp for aya didis & bhaiyas of the vdyalayas from 1 to 3 August 2007 at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni' There were 44 participants in the shibir out of which 23 were ayadidis and 2l bhaiyas, Along wilh Bauddhik Satras there were Krida yoga, Geet & BhaJan sessions and Story telling sessions which the participants enjoyed very much.

Educational Tour by VKSPV Team to Different Institutions in Maharashtra

A six member team of teachers and officials led by Su. M,S Lalita, Jt. Secretary VKSPV visited Jnan Prabhodini and other institutions of repute in and around Pune from lO July to 19 July 2OO7. The purpose of the visit is to ascertain the development that have taken place in the field of education in this part of the country and also be acquainted with the different experiments which are going on for the improvement of teaching learning process, so that some of them may be implemented in our Vidyalayas. The other institutions that were visited by the team are Aksharnandan, Pune; Jnan Prabhodini Gram Seva Prakalpa,salumbre; Jnan Prabhodini Navanagar Vidyalaya, Gurukul & Kridakul at Nigdi, Pune; Rani Laxmibai Girls Military School,Kasaramboli,Taluka Mulshi,Pune; Gurukul, Pune; Centre for Learning Resources,Pune; Muktangan Exploratory Science centre, Pune; Navnirmiti, Lokmanya Tilak Vidyamandir,Chikhalgaon,Taluka-Dapoli, Dist-Ratnagiri; Vijnan Ashram, Pune; Gramamangal, Pune. The team also went to meet Sri Dileep Kulkarni, enviromentalist at his home at Kudawale, Dist-Ratnagiri. All the membsrs were greatly benefited by the visit.

Personality Development Camp for Students of Class- VI

A non-residential Personality Development Camp for all the students of Class- Vl was Organized for 11 School under VKSPV from 21 to 25 May 2OO7.There were total 557 participants in the shibirs held at VKSPV VKVs,Tinsukia,Dibrugarh,Golaghat,Umrangso,Bokuloni,Baragolai,Doyang,Dhemaji,Maiuli,Tingrai,Nalbari.The Bauddhik Satras inthe camps were on the topics-Life of Swami Vivekananda,Success of Life, Friends and Enemies,Personality and its Value.There were Karyashalas onFriendship,communication and Memory Development.GroupDiscussion,Yogasana,Geet Abhyas&Krida Yoga sessions as per the Syllabus prescribed by VKSPV were also conducted in the camps.

Educational Tour for Achievers

An educational tour to Kolkata,Kanyakumari and Chennai was arranged from 4 April to 21 April for the students & teachers who have been achievers in different common programmes& examination conducted by Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag.There were 19 participants in the groupe out of which 15 were students and the rest were teachers.The tour gave an opportunity for the participants to visit different places such as Belur Math, Dakshineswar,Science City at Kolkata; Vivekananda Rock Memorial,Kanyakumari Temple at Kanyakumari and some site seeing places at Chennai.The participants enjoyed the tour.

foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Shuklai

The Foundation Stone Laying ceremony in the land donated by Government,in Shuklai in the district Baksa,BTAD, Assam was performed on 08 April 2007.This will be the 14th school under VKSPV and 13th ln Assam.Su.Rekha Davey,Joint General Secretary VK Kanyakumari performed the Puja and laid the foundation stone of the school Building,Sri Biswajit Daimary Chairman,ARTFED was also present the function.

Samskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir

 A shibir for selected students of Class-Vll of all the Vidyalayas was organised from 2 to 7 April 2007 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Tinsukia.The purpose of this shibir was to prepare our students to conduct Samskar Varga for children nearby to their respective places.There were 164 students from 10 Vidyalayas in the shibir out of which 87 were boys and 77 girls. After the camp 21 Samskar Vargas were started immediately by the participants of the shibir in their respective places.

Palak Shibir

A one-day camp for the parents of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya students was organized in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Dibrugarh on 24 & 25 February 2007.There were 141 participants in the camp including the Principal / Teacher ln.charges of VKSPV.Discussion was held on the following topics with the parents :

* The challenges of Parenting in the 21st Century.

* care for children in the Adolescent stage.

* Parents role in the activities of Vivekananda Kendra.

Sri lndreswar Deori,Prant Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant was the Chief Guest in the Valedictory programme. Sri Romen Chakraborty,Adviser to VKSPV was also present in the Programme.

Bhagini Nivedita Elocution Competition


VKSPV, Tezpur organized an Elocution competition for the teachers on 11 February 2OO7 at Milan Sangha auditorium at Majuli.Sri Arindam Baruah, EAC,Majuli Subdivision was the Chief Guest in the programme while Sri Sarbeswar Hazarika, Principal, Majuli College graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.Three topics for the deliberations were:

*The core of the endeavour of Swami Vivekananda and Srimanta Sankardeva was to organize the Hindu society.
*Economic boycott of goods produced and services offered by the migrants can prevention of infiltration most effectively.
*Professional integrity of teachers is the essential prerequisite for the success of the garding pattern of evaluation in school education.There were eighteen (18) participants from the twelve (12) Vidyalayas in the competition.

Badminton Competition for Teaching and Supporting Staff

The Annual Badminton competition for the teachers and non-teaching staff of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas was conducted at Kachugaon Indoor Stadium,Tinsukia on 3 & 4 February 2007.The competition was held for gents and lady teachers separately.There were 11 Gentsand 5Didis in the competition. Dr.Kirti Ranjan Dey,noted Gynaecologist of Tinsukia was the Chief Guest in the Prize Distribution Ceremony.Sri Samiran Bose,Chairman,VMC,Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Tinsukia was also present in the programme. Sri Vishwas Lapalkar,Secretary VKSPV mentioned about the role of VKSPV in organizing programmes for overall development of students,teachers,parents and general public.They also gave away the prizes to the participants.

Inauguration of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Kajalgaon

vivekananda Kendra vidyalaya, Kajalgaon, the 13th vidyalaya under vKspv and its first in the Bodoland area in the district of chirang, Assam was inaugurated on 10th January 2O07, sri chandan Brahma, Minister, P&RD, Transport, Government of Assam, was the chief Guest for the inaugural programme, He promised all possible helpfrom the Government for the success of the school, sri subhash chandra Langmailai, Deputy commissioner, chirang was the Guest of Honour in the Programme, su. Rekha Davey, Joint secretary, vK Kanyakumari was also present in the programme as Guest of Honour' The schoor started functioning with classes KG & I from 20 January 2OO7 The initial student strength of the school is 45.
