Classes- KG to II; Students: 47; Teachers: 3
Situated in upper block of Majuli sub-division (Jorhat), Vivekananda Kendra Prathamik Vidyalaya (VKPV) Jengrai came into existence on 20th January 2012 as part of a project named 'Jengraimukh Janajati Sanskritik Prakalpa', initiated by Shri Shri Pitambar Deva Goswami, sattradhikar of Auniati Sattra, Majuli two years back. The Prakalpa has 5 wings: a Primary Health Centre, a Museum, a Namghar, a Community Hall and a Vidyalaya. Being an interior Village, Jengrai had hitherto remained deprived of any educational facilities.
VKSPV encourages communities and individuals interested to start vidyalayas in line with VKVs to initiate the process in their localities, for which it provides required help and guidance. Consequently, the setup process of 4 new Vivekananda vidyalayas had been completed by March 2012.
