Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya organized lots of programs on the occasion of Lachit Diwas 2022. I think first of all First of all let me tell you about Lachit Diwas. Lachit Diwas is the birth anniversary of Ahom General Lachit Barphukan.
OBSERVANCE OF LACHIT DIVAS IN VKV(NEEPCO) DOYANG. The brave warrior and commander of the Ahom kingdom, Lachit Borphukan was remembered and paid tribute on his birth anniversary. The work and life of the visionary leader were spoken about by Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi, a teacher, and Kr. Prince Borah, a student of class VI. Sri R John Zeliang, HoPS, DHPS, NEEPCO and Sri P.K Taye, Senior Manager(Vigilance) DHPS were the special guests in the programme. The programme included patriotic songs(both lead & follow and presentation) as well as a dance performance of a patriotic song by students. There was also a prize distribution ceremony towards the end of the programme.
Apart from all these the following activities were conducted throughout the day:
- Sit & Draw for classes I to V
- Patriotic Song Competition for classes VI to X.
- A short video presentation on the life of Lachit Borphukan for the students for classes IV & V.
VKV Mangaldoi Observed Bir Lachit Divas and paid tribute to his 400th birth anniversary. On this occasion, a documentary on Lachit Borphukan was shown to Nursery & KG students. Class l to X programme includes a speech by the teachers, group patriotic song by class ix students, poem recitation by class vii students and teachers, dance to the patriotic song by class I, III & IV students and an open Quiz organised for all.
Vivekananda Vidyalaya Jirikindeng also observed the 400th Birth Anniversary of a great legend who was the true son of the motherland with various activities like- Quiz competition on Lachit Barphukan, Easy writing competition, Drawing competition and Drama of battle of saraighat.
Lachine Divas were observed in the VKV NEC BARAGOLAI in an ambience befitting to the occasion. Pushpanjali was offered to the great martyre. A poem based on patriotic fervour was recited, and the tale of his historic deeds was remembered through a speech. Also, a dance based on a song narrating his historic persona was performed and a documentary based on his life was screened.
VKV Tingrai observed the 400th birth anniversary of The great warrior and commander of Ahom kingdom Lachit Borphukan with Lightening of Lamp by The chief guest Sri Simanta Borgohain Branch manager, SBI, Life which was followed by the patriotic song, Patriotic dance, poem recitation, speech by Student and teacher, speech by guest, drawing competition among the students from class I to V. All total 132 students participated in it. A total of 335 students, 19 teachers, and two guests attended the programme.
VKV Bokakhat observed the 400th birth anniversary of Bir Lachit Borphukan in three days. On 22nd Nov, the spot stort paragraph writing competition was organized among class three students. Also, a Quiz competition was organized among the students of IV & V on Bir-Lachit. On 23 rd Nov, a speech on Bir Lachit was delivered by the Assamese teacher in the assembly. On 24th Nov, a speech was delivered by one class-I student. A poem was also recited by the Assamese teacher. On the same day, we resumed the educational excursion for classes I & II. Total participants: 202 along with 18 staff.
On 24 November 2022, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Khatkhati and its Bokajan Town Unit Observed Veer Lachit Diwas and paid tribute to his 400th birth anniversary. On this occasion, a documentary on Lachit Borphukan was shown to all Students as well as activities like Drawing Competition were also organized for students. A total of 84 students participated in it along with 10 school staff.
