VKV Dhemaji Celebrates International Yoga Day

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dhemaji enthusiastically observed International Yoga Day (IYD) today, focusing on the theme "Yoga for Self and Society.

The school organized events in three locations:

  • VKV Dhemaji School Campus: This main event saw the highest participation with 415 attendees, including students, staff, and community members.
  • Borpataria L.P. School: Reaching out to the local community, VKV Dhemaji extended the IYD celebrations to Borpataria L.P. School, where 210 participants joined in the yoga sessions.
  • Bherpara: A smaller, more intimate gathering was held in Bherpara, where 24 individuals participated in the IYD activities.

Overall, the combined efforts at these three locations resulted in a remarkable total of 649 participants for VKV Dhemaji's IYD celebrations.

In addition to traditional yoga sessions, students of VKV Dhemaji showcased their creativity and yoga skills through captivating demonstrations. They formed formations representing the sun and the Indian tricolour, symbolizing the interconnectedness of yoga with nature and national pride.

The IYD celebration at VKV Dhemaji was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and well-being among participants. By promoting "Yoga for Self and Society," the school emphasized the transformative power of yoga for both individual growth and community development.
