VKV Sivasagar Celebrates World Environment Day, Inspires Future Generations

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Sivasagar marked World Environment Day with a series of engaging activities aimed at instilling environmental consciousness in its students and ensuring a greener future for generations to come.

The event, held on June 5, 2024, saw the active participation of students from classes I to VIII in various competitions, including coloring, "Best out of Waste," and poster making. These activities encouraged creativity while emphasizing the importance of resource conservation and waste reduction.

Adding a tangible contribution to the environment, students of class X took to the school campus to plant saplings. This act of planting symbolized the school's commitment to a sustainable future and the role each individual plays in protecting the planet.

"We believe in empowering our students to become responsible stewards of the environment," said [Name], Principal of VKV Sivasagar. "World Environment Day provides an ideal platform to educate and inspire them to take positive action towards a greener tomorrow."

The event was a resounding success, with students enthusiastically embracing the message of environmental preservation. VKV Sivasagar's initiative serves as an exemplary model for educational institutions to foster a culture of sustainability and create awareness about environmental issues.

By encouraging such practices from a young age, VKV Sivasagar is not only ensuring the well-being of the planet but also nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious citizens who will continue to champion the cause of sustainability in the years to come.
