Various Celebration and Observation in VKV Umrangso


REPUBLIC DAY

Vidyalaya celebrated 70th Republic Day in pride. The students, teachers and parents who gathered at the Vidyalaya ground at 7:15 AM paid salute to the tri colour National flag and sang National Anthem when it was unfurled by the Principal of the Vidyalaya. The Principal welcomed all who gathered at the celebration and delivered his speech. In his speech he appealed the students who are going to contribute to our motherland in different ways in future to undertake the tasks left or incomplete with sincerity and make India a great one. He also reminded the students to give a strong moral foundation so that they become honest, help others in need contribute immensely for our country. There was a patriotic song sung by a group of students on the occasion. Su Nirupama Nath (a student from class XI) delivered a speech highlighting the significance day and our duties to perform for our country. After the celebration was over, all the students along with teachers went to KHEP NEEPCO office to take part in the celebration of Republic Day there.

  


SARASWATI PUJA


VKV Umrangso performed Saraswati puja to seek blessings from the Goddess of learning. It was celebrated in a grand way. The puja started at 8:00 AM in the morning at Activity Hall. Sri Santosh Dubey (TGT Sanskrit) performed the puja according to Vedic rites. Students throng at the Puja Mandapam to offer Pushpanjali. A special arrangement was made for the students of classes X and XII to offer Pushapanjali at the feet of Saraswati. All the students, parents, the guests and many others were given Prasad to their heart’s content. There were more than 1500 people on the occasion.


RAMKRISHNA JAYANTI


Vidyalaya observed Ramkrishna  Jayanti today in the morning assembly in brief. It began with offering of flowers at the portrait of Ramakrishna by the respected Principal Sir while all the students and teachers chanted Mangalacharana. It was followed by a speech on Ramkrishna by the vice principal highlighting his great influence on his followers, his devotion to Gods and Goddesses etc. There was a bhajan sung by class IX students.  Vice Primcipal of the Vidyalaya delivering speech  on the occasion of  Ramkrishna Jayanti  


UTSARGA CEREMONY


VKV Umrangso organised Utsarga Ceremony for the students of class XII who are going out of the Vidyalaya and stepping into the World. It started with performing puja in Vedic tradition by Sri Vijay Kr. Updhyay (TGT Hindi). All the students offered Pushpanjali at Bharat Mata and Goddess Saraswati and prayed for blessings. They lit lamp at the feet of Bharat Mata and took blessings and gift from the Principal. In his advice to the students Principal wished for their best performance in the upcoming Board Examination and asked to maintain integrity of honesty and sincerity. He wished that they would contribute to our motherland.

GANESH POOJA


VKV Umrangso arranged Ganesh Puja on 20th February 2019. All the students and their parents offered flowersat the feet of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati to get blessings for the forth coming Board Examination. Sri Vijay Kr. Upadhyay (TGT Hindi) performed the puja according to Vedic rites. The students lit earthen lamp at the colourful decoration of India map and took accepted gift from the Principal. It was followed by valuable advice by the Principal to students for their coming exam. The programme concluded with Kendra Prayer.

Matri Pooja at VKV Ramnagar

Matri Devo Bhaba, Pitri Devo Bhaba is the tradition of our culture. Students of VKVs also follow this culture in true spirit. This year also the Matri-Pitri puja ceremony was held at VKV Ramnagar SIlchar for the students of class X on 16 Feb’19 in the school premises. This ceremony started with the feet washing of parents by students. It was followed by the puja of  parents by their wards. On this day Dr. Himadri Sekhar Das, Asstt. Prof.  Dept. of Physics, Assam University, Silchar and his wife Dr. Moumita Nath, faculty of Aryan Junior College Silchar along with Sri Jayanta Choudhury, a senior faculty of Polytechnic Silchar and his wife Smt. Amita Choudhury were present  as guests and blessed our students.
