Celebrated This Year The Completion of a Glorious Decade VKV Baragolai

VKV (NEC) Baragolai conducted Declamation of Swami Vivekananda's short sayings, sit and Draw and Elocution competitions for 11 school of the vicinity in December 2010. The Vidyalaya also hosted one of the biggest common events of VKSPV 'Vivekananda Krida Mahotsava' (Inter VKV sports Meet) from 1st to 4th January 2010 on 31st December a big rally was taken out in margherita on the eve of the sports meet. more than a thousand people including the students and the teachers of VKVs took part in it. About 500 students from 13 VKVs took part in various sports events in the meet and VKV (NEC) Baragolai was adjudged the Best sports Team. on the occasion of the decennial celebration of the vidyalaya, a souvenir named 'Kalpataru' was inaugurated by su. Rekha Devey, Joint General Secretary, VK Kanyakumari.

 VKV Ramnagar: Smt. Lipika Roy was awarded with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Fellowship by Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy on 11th December 2010 for her leading role in propagating Srimanta Sankardev's ideology in Barak Valley region of assam
VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni: Smt. Pranami Goswami got two of her books inaugurated at the Asom Sahitya Sabha at Dergaon this year: 'Joy-Jatra'(A Short Biography of Bishnu Rabha for children) and'Dergawe Kotha Koy' (Co-author). Smt. Lukumoni Borthakur got book of nursery rhymes 'Kakoli'  inaugurated at the Duliajan Book Fair this year.

Celebrated This Year The Completion of a Glorious Decade VKV Doyang

 

VKV NEEPCO Doyang hosted Aryabhata Anusandhanatmaka Vijnana Prakalpa (Science Investigatory Project), one of VKSPV's inter-VKV events, from 18th to 20th November 2010. The host school was adjudged the Best Overall Performer and VKV Dibrugarh the runner-up while 23 project from 12 VKVs were assesed in the competition. The involvement of the community in the organisation of the event was remarkable. The Vidyalaya also conducted Art, Handwriting and Essay Writing Competitions for 15 school of Wokha district.

Essay Writing Competition September 2010

15th September 2010, 13 VKVs

Participants: 3100 (Juniors: 1700; Seniors: 1400)

Also termed as Nibandha Lekhan Spardha, the Annual Essay Writing Competition was conducted to encourage young writers to express themselves on themes (sub-themes were announced on the day of the competition) such as'Sister Nivedita on National Education','Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore', Akhand Bharat'and'Gurushishya Parampara in the light of Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda'. The first two themes were meant for the Juniors (VI-VIII) while the rest for the Senior Group (IX-XII).

Celebrated This Year The Completion of a Glorious Decade VKV Umrangso

 

VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso Felicitated a few freedom fighters on 15th August 2010 and 6 gaonburhas (village headmen) on 11th September 2010. The Vidyalaya conducted an intra District inter school football tournament from 14th to 25th August 2010. 6 school took part in the tournament. An alumni meet was also organised from 10th to 12th January 2011. A total of 35 alumni attended the meet. Besides, Sit & Draw and Handwriting competition were conducted at state level and 12 school took part in them.

Educational Tour August 2010

Participants: 50 (Students: 38, Teachers: 12)

A unique learning experience for selected students

The educational tour was meant for the VKVians who had participated in Mahabhaskara Shastra Vijnan Pradarshini or had been actively involved in the School Science Club or other science related activities at the school level. This annual tour opens up new vistas of learning to selected students. The team visited various institutions viz. AIIMS, IIT, NPL in Delhi and Deva Samskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Haridwar and interacted with the scientists of the institutions during their 14-day tour.

Games, stories & cultural activities: Means to develop personality!

VKSPV conducted PDCs simultaneously at 12 VKVs for class VI students in order to develop leadership in them through games, stories, lectures, discussions, dramas etc. The help from the teachers and the well-wishers including the parents in conducting the PDCs was overwhelming.

Stressing academic excellence, higher community involvement and nationalistic education,,

Two Principals' Meetings were conducted in the period under review. Besides discussing  various academic, administrative and organisational affairs, important decisions were taken for the smooth functioning of the vidyalayas in the meetings. Much emphasis was laid academic excellence, higher community involvement and nationalistic education. Working with respect (Shraddha), orientation to the higher ideals, Poorva Niyojan (Planning in advance) and poorna Niyojan (Detailed Planning) were also a few significant aspects that were taken up in the meetings.
