Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Umrangso celebrated the 157th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita with great enthusiasm and devotion by organizing a Pariwar Sammelan on the school campus.
The event was graced by Su. Reboti Baidew, Joint Secretary of VKSPV, who served as the main speaker, inspiring all with her reflections on Sister Nivedita’s life, service, and contributions to nation-building.
A total of 50 parents participated in the Sammelan, making it a meaningful gathering of the VKV family. During the program, 8 new Sankuls were formed across 4 different locations, strengthening the spirit of collective work and community bonding.
Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Mananeeya Rebati Didi, Su. Kabita Das (GM, Personnel, NEEPCO), and Smt. Swarnalata Saikia (Secretary, Women’s Association, Umrangso). The highlight of the program was the launch of students’ Wall Magazines from the four school houses, showcasing creativity and expression.
The Pariwar Sammelan beautifully reflected the ideals of unity, service, and dedication, values deeply rooted in the teachings of Sister Nivedita and Swami Vivekananda.
